Somehow yesterday I went to DHL website for something, and came across this quote.. I really liked it..It conveys that they value us(customers) .. and their approach towards us …. I liked it .. thought of sharing ..

Observed this while we were travelling in VTA bus to Zafran ! I commute to office daily by bus , but never
observed this .. I didn’t actual make out the correct meaning of it. Read it thrice.. Maybe but in India, we never make use of such sentence formation .. so was pretty shocked & laughing for a while …
any comments ?

Today we had been to Six Flags. Enroute I was surprised to see an industry …!! We actually saw an industry .. It is the first non-IT company I have seen after coming to California !

We(Alok,Shaanya and myself) planned to watch Wall.E movie on July 1,2008 for the 9:50pm show. Reached theatre at around 10, so took tickets for 10:55 show. Instead of waiting we thought of watching the same movie ,i.e the 9:50pm show and went into the auditorium given on the ticket. As we entered, many of them started giving a surprise look, we didn’t make out and made ourselves comfortable at some empty seats. My friend even asked a lady besides him , whether she was expecting someone. She said no and gave a surprise look and laughed. We just sat and started watching …
And then, there is a scene and the names of director, producer, star cast ..etc. started appearing and the movie was over ! ..
Everybody started leaving the auditorium..We were dumbstruck .. many gave a surprise look at us while going !!
The thing was , instead of going to a auditorium which was playing the 9:50 show, we entered the auditorium which was written on the ticket. But that ticket was for 10:55pm show. So, this was some earlier show which got over at around 10.
We could not just stop laughing …. we were literally rofl … for around 15min ..This was my first movie, where in I saw the ending first and then watched the movie ! How stupid of us

In all , it was a nice movie..I felt it has a bollywood touch to it.. still I didn’t find it that special to give a 9.2/10 ( on imdb ).. KungFu Panda and Madagascar still top my list..

We were coming back from Half Moon Bay and were out of gas, so we went to the gas station just near Alok’s house. While Alok was filling up the tank, I just happened to see these three types of gasolines written and I was just shocked ! Till now I hadn’t seen this !
What was the purpose of introducing unleaded petrol. It was encouraged to reduce environmental pollution caused because of lead compounds. Hydrocarbons and alkenes are added to unleaded petrol instead of lead compounds to increase the octane rating. So the whole purpose is to reduce the harmful lead compounds. No doubt the latest cars require high octane petrol, still nobody likes to pay more for gas.
Then why make three levels of octane content in the unleaded petrol. When the purpose is reducing environmental pollution, then why make three and sell them at different higher rates. Government should bare the extra expenses in making it octane rich, so that we customers need not bare the extra price for the higher octane rating gasoline.
Unleaded is at normal gas price, unleaded plus is 10 cents more than normal and super unleaded is 20 cents more.
We should understand that its not a single person’s contribution to reduce pollution, everybody should contribute equally. If they keep three types of gasoline’s and the highest octane gas is the costliest , then nobody would like to fill their tank with that gas. Yes, I don’t say no to the advantages of the “Super Unleaded” to the engine. But when there is huge difference between the three different gas prices.
Government tries to give gas at reduced price, still they should also take initiative of bearing the extra cost of making it octane rich(super unleaded) and sell the gas at normal gas price.
